We have a variety of lessons available.

Please note that lessons are carried out in our 2-wheeled gig, which has easy access.

Try Carriage Driving
These sessions are ideal for those
who are interested in knowing
a bit more about carriage
driving.
No prior knowledge of working
with horses is necessary as all
training is done under supervision
of a qualified carriage
driving coach.
Lasting for 2 hours, you will
shown how to hold the reins
in the coaching hand, then
have some fun putting into
practice what you've learned.
You'll then learn how to harness
a horse, put-to, then go out for a
short drive.
All sessions are carried out with dual reins for safety.

1-2-1 sessions and small groups welcome
(up to 3 people).
£90 per person

Practical Sessions
Our Practical Sessions last for
2 hours and will cover the
practical aspects of
carriage driving.

care & storage of harness,

types of harness and their suitability for the job in hand,

assessing suitability of horse,

assessing suitability of vehicle,

vehicle maintenance,

Other aspects of the BDS Introductory Competency Assessment will also be covered.

Lessons
"Every day is a school day",
and there's no truer saying when your working with horses.
Lessons are available either with
one of our turn-outs
or with your own horse.
After an initial assessment session, where your driving abillity will be assessed and your aims and ambitions discussed, a program will be drawn up to suit your needs.
